Nasscom, the trade groups for India’s software industry, launched four centers of excellence (CoEs) to pursue Internet of Things (IoT) Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
While the CoE for IoT offers platforms to innovate on connected devices, those for data sciences and AI collaborate with government, innovators, academia, industry, and technology partners such as IBM, Intel, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Digital Ocean. User enterprises General Electric and FirstSource also partner with these C0Es.

Mohan Krishnan who heads these Centers says that global disruptions across domains such as healthcare, agriculture, retail, manufacturing, and governments create complex problems that present a huge opportunity for India to find innovative solutions. Krishnan added that to identify the right set of talent Nasscom was working with colleges and universities to launch programs on AI, as well as creating faculty development programs.
