Van Buren Township, MI-headquartered Visteon Corporation launched its new Global Capability Center in Kolkata, signifying its intention to leverage India’s increasing contribution to the global advancement of automotive technologies. The center aims to accommodate 300 engineers by the end of 2026, with plans to expand to over 500 engineers within the next two to three years.

The Kolkata GCC will serve as a dedicated supplier of Android-based infotainment and autonomous vehicle solutions, focusing on cybersecurity, multimedia and remote projection, and cloud technologies. Furthermore, it is set to establish itself as a Center of Excellence (COE).
The facility is designed to be USGBC LEED Platinum-certified, featuring solar panels and water recycling systems to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
To ensure a steady flow of quality talent, Visteon is enhancing its early career opportunities and affiliating with reputable universities across the region. The new Kolkata center is expected to bolster Visteon’s core Android automotive solutions business and accelerate the growth of the company’s fastest-growing product line.
