U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard arrived in India as part of her, signaling a deepening of intelligence partnerships between the two nations.

During her visit, Gabbard will participate in a high-level conference chaired by Indian National Security advisor Ajit Doval. The meeting will focus on enhancing intelligence-sharing mechanisms to combat terrorism and transnational crimes. Intelligence chiefs from several countries including Australia, Germany, and New Zealand are also expected to attend this significant security cooperation summit in India’s capital.
Gabbard’s trip follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s February visit to the United States, where Modi met with both President Donald Trump and Gabbard herself. During that meeting, Modi characterized Gabbard as a “strong advocate for India-U.S. relations,” highlighting the growing importance of the bilateral relationship.
Speaking in India, Gabbard emphasized the unlimited potential for cooperation between the two nations, stating, “I think there’s not really any bounds to where the United States and India are looking to cooperate.” She also reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening ties between Washington and New Delhi.
