Reckitt Benckiser to Enter e-Commerce in India

U.K.-based multinational consumer goods company Reckitt Benckiser plans to sell some of its premium products directly to consumers in India via the specific websites of its brands such as Dettol, Strepsils, Durex, Veet, and Harpic, among others.

Reckitt Benckiser signed a partnership agreement with Gurugram-based logistics and supply chain company Cogent Transware which will purchase the products from the company’s brand stores, store them at its warehouses, and ship them to buyers.

E-commerce

Rob de Groot, president, Hygiene Home business at Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc  said that the company will utilize digital technology to boost e-commerce growth in India,  China, and other emerging markets. The company, he disclosed, has witnessed a ten-fold increase in its India business over the last three years.
