New York City headquartered Morgan Stanley‘s India Infrastructure arm will invest $14 million in Bangalore-based Manipal Health Enterprise Private Limited.
HealthMaP Diagnostics Private Limited, a joint venture between Manipal Health and Philips India Limited, will use the capital to expand its presence to 75 centers in the next three years. The diagnostics imaging unit was established in 2015 under a public-private partnership where it partners with state-owned hospitals to provide services to 500 million Indians. Dilip Jose, managing director and chief executive of Manipal Health said that HealthMap aims to partner with private hospitals to set up diagnostics facilities in view of the government healthcare initiative Ayushman Bharat.

In 2017, Morgan Stanley raised its maiden India-focused infrastructure fund to invest in sectors such as energy and utilities, transportation and logistics, telecommunication, broadband, urban public-private partnerships, education, and health sectors.
