Mumbai-based Voltas Limited, and Vestfrost Solutions have entered into a Technology License Agreement to develop, manufacture, sell and service medical refrigeration and vaccine storage equipment including ice-lined refrigerators, vaccine freezers and ultra low temperature freezers to the India market.
Founded in 1954, Voltas Limited includes room air-conditioners, air coolers, air purifiers, water coolers, commercial refrigeration and air conditioning products in its portfolio.
Vestfrost Solutions, founded in Esbjerg, Denmark in 1963, has been working in the Bio Medical and Cold Chain industry. It will provide the technology for making the products at Voltas’ facilities in India. The company plans to bring its R&D and manufacturing know-how to India, in addition to a wide product range and global sourcing capabilities. The products will cater to the medical industry requirements.
