Chandigarh, India-based Steel Strips Wheels Limited (SSWL), a manufacturer of steel wheel rims, will supply truck and trailer steel wheels to the American aftermarket. 17,000 truck wheels, for $700,000, will be dispatched from SSWL’s Chennai facility in the next three months.
The company designs, manufactures, and markets steel wheel rims for passenger cars, utility vehicles, bikes, tractors, light and heavy commercial vehicles and off-the-road vehicles. It has an annual production capacity of nearly seventeen million wheels that are manufactured in its three facilities in India.
In March, SSWL received an order for 100,000 steel wheels from Europe’s RV market. Delivery of goods for this order starts this month through September.
