Google is expanding its gChips team at its new Bangalore site, including executive and technology professionals. By the end of 2019, Google expects to onboard 70 employees.
Bangalore has become a popular technology hub, attracting large and specialty technology companies that are seeking seasoned professionals and rising talent. The city is known for its expertise in the development of semiconductor chips and technology.
Google’s gChips initiative plans to create its own chips to be used in future tablets and Pixel handsets. The newly assembled team will “fine-tune and test” new chip prototypes before they go into production.
