Cadbury India Changes Name

Cadbury India Changes Name

India’s chocolate market is dominated by the Cadbury’s brand. The British owners were purchased by Kraft Foods  some time ago and then the corporate parent spun off the global snack brands into a new company called Mondelez International.

Manu Anand, their Indian CEO, announced that the Indian company has changed its name from Cadbury India to Mondelez India Foods Limited. With a 56 percent market share, the company has recently “premiumized” some of its brands such as Bournville to compete with the likes of Ferrero Rocher and Lindt which are active in India.
