The U.S. State Department confirmed a $81 million contract to Boeing to provide all-weather, over-the-horizon, Harpoon anti-ship missiles to India for its Boeing P8I Poseidon maritime surveillance aircraft.
These missiles can engage a wide variety of land-based targets, including coastal defense sites, surface-to-air missile sites, aircraft, port or industrial facilities, and naval ships anchored in ports.
Defense World reports that the missiles, which are expected to be available in June 2018, are manufactured and assembled both in the U.S. and the U.K
