Very soon after Tata Motors bought the UK companies Land Rover and Jaguar from Ford Motor Company, the world was hit by the financial crisis of 2008. Most automotive experts thought that Tata could have acquired these assets for much less. Others felt that a low cost maker of sub-compacts and small trucks had no chance of running two storied luxury brands. Land Rover had changed hands a number of times already. Jaguar owners were lamenting the Ford engines on their cars.

But reality has redeemed Tata Motors and  the revenue graph shows the success of Tata Motors.
