Walmart Labs, the technology arm of Bentonville, Arkansas-headquartered Walmart, acquired two startups based in India to strengthen its customer service systems.

Bangalore-based FloCare, a health tech firm, is one of them. It builds products and technologies that enables seniors to access affordable and scalable healthcare services. The company, co-founded by a former Google research scientist and an ex-InMobi employee, was funded by Accel Partners located in Palo Alto, CA.
Bangalore-based BigTrade Infosystems Private Limited, was founded by a former Infosys software engineer and a former Yahoo tech lead. Its platform provides solutions that allow businesses to connect with various manufacturers and sellers, as well as negotiate and transact.
Walmart Labs India center head and vice-president of technology Hari Vasudev said the teams from the two startups will strengthen the group’s omni-channel customer experience capabilities.
