Walmart India Buys Yet Another Company for Talent

Walmart Labs India,  announced it will hire key tech teams from Artificial Intelligence and data analytics startup Int.ai. In September, Walmart bought micro-app startup Appsfly, integrating the latter’s six-member team with its customer experience engineering group. Both companies were acquired for their talent rather than revenue or products or IP.

Int.ai has built an AI powered personal data analyst for business executives, and has also developed expertise in blending machine learning with data analytics to uncover insights that significantly impact business metrics. Int.ai’s team will be part of the health and wellness portfolio under customer technology at Walmart Labs.

Walmart aims to hire more than 1,000 employees in technology roles at its India offices.
