Walmart Acquires India's Dataturks for IT Talent

Mountain View, California-based Walmart Labs, the product development arm of Walmart, acquired its third Indian startup, Bangalore-based Machine Learning and Data Annotation Platform, Dataturks.

Dataturks’ software-as-a-service tool enables teams to annotate text and image data using machine learning. The 5-member team of Dataturks will join Walmart’s merchant technology team for catalog enrichment.

“With their deep domain expertise in Machine Learning and large application development experience, this team will help drive further innovations in the catalog quality, anomaly detection, search innovations and many other aspects of Walmart merchandising platforms,” the company said.
