Uber India raised $363.29 million from its Netherlands-based parent entity Uber BV. The funding saw two transactions that were carried out concurrently: Uber India Systems Private Limited (UISPL) was created and the business contracts and user information (from its rides and Eats platforms) were transferred to UISPL from the Dutch entity. This is a part of Uber’s plan to make its entire India business — cab-hailing and food delivery, among others — operate under one holding, Uber India Systems, which will be run in India completely.
Registered in India, UISPL is jointly held by Uber International Holding BV and Uber International BV.
According to a September valuation report, UISPL was valued at $81 million, India Rides Intangible Assets at $261 million, and Indian Eats Intangible Assets at $102 million as of July 2019.
