Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman will be in New Delhi on October 6 and 7. for a series of meetings to discuss regional issues. Her visit to India will be a follow-up to the Quad Summit and the bilateral talks between U.S. President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Modi.
Sherman is America’s second highest ranking diplomat. The Afghanistan crisis and the subsequent issue of cross-border terrorism will be on top of her agenda.
She will attend a series of bilateral meetings and civil society events, and participate in the India Ideas Summit organized by the U.S. Business Council. She will also hold meetings with the business community in Mumbai.
