India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi attend an Energy CEO Roundtable at the Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas yesterday in advance of the “Howdy Modi” public event today. In attendance were the CEOs of some of the largest companies in fossil fuel energy and related fields: Air Products, Baker Hughes, BP PLC, Cheniere Energy, Dominion Energy, Emerson Electric Company, Exxonmobil, IHS Markit, Lyondellbasell Industries, Mcdermott, Perot Group and Hillwood, Schlumberger, Tellurian Inc., Total S.A., Vinmar International, and Westlake Chemicals.
One of the largest liquefied natural gas deals in U.S. history was signed yesterday, India’s Petronet LNG will be investing $2.5 billion in exchange for 5 million metric tons of LNG annually from Tellurian’s planned Driftwood LNG export terminal in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
