India and the United States held their Industrial Security Agreement summit between September 27 to October 1, 2021 at New Delhi, during which the two sides agreed in principle to establish the Industrial Security Joint Working Group.
The group will meet periodically to align the policies and procedures that will allow the defense industries to collaborate on cutting edge defense technologies.
The two nations will develop joint protocols to block any leakage of classified information from their communications. The group will facilitate exchange of classified information between the defense industries of both the countries and bring about more synergy in critical defense technologies.
