Swedish company Trelleborg launched its production facility in Bangalore, India. The new facility, which occupies 67,000 square feet, will manufacture Trelleborg Antivibration Solutions, molded components, and pipe seals and will generate 100 new jobs.
Trelleborg plans to create an engineering hub within the facility to equip its team to support all engineering requirements for India’s rail industry. With India heavily investing in its transportation infrastructure, the new production facility opens up opportunities to better serve India-based businesses. It also plans to expand its factory to 88,000 square feet within the next three years.
Ranadip Basu, general manager of the new facility, said, “The opening of our new facility in Bangalore represents a significant investment for Trelleborg and demonstrates our commitment to local manufacturing.”
