Amsterdam headquartered automaker Stellantis inaugurated its second software center in Bangalore, India. Its first global digital hub in India is in Hyderabad.
Spread across 50,000 sq.ft, the facility will serve as the main development center for the SmartCockpit Technology Platform that will focus on digitally integrating vehicles and drivers.
The hub, which will eventually employ 500 people, will also help develop artificial intelligence , and driver assistance (ADAS) technologies for autonomous driving, the company said.
Yves Bonnefont, Chief Software Officer at Stellantis said, “The Indian tech talent and its innovative startup ecosystem are important to accelerating Stellantis’ transformation to a sustainable mobility tech company. India plays a key role in Stellantis’ digital approach and development.”
