Singapore-based digital health startup MyDoc took its first major step into the Indian market through a joint venture with Aliso Viejo, California-based UST Global a multinational provider of Digital, and IT services and solutions.
The partnership expands access to MyDoc’s virtual managed care platform to more than 14,000 UST employees across the cities of Bangalore and Mumbai. MyDoc CEO Snehal Patel said the deal is part of a larger Asian expansion that will continue over the rest of 2019.
Patel, a U.S.-trained physician and lawyer saw the fragmented nature of primary care in Southeast Asian markets, largely characterized by a lack of quality and access for patients. The company’s MyDoc’s platform provides a single point of access for outpatient care, and helps patients access telemedicine services, manage chronic conditions, track health data, receive e-referrals to lab diagnostics or specialists, and drive users to high-quality, in-network providers.
