British Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first ever visit to India from April 10-16 starts off with a charity dinner which will raise funds for three charities. Well-known personalities such as cricket hero Sachin Tendulkar and some Bollywood stars notably Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan will attend. The event will include red-carpet arrivals, dance and musical performances, and of course fashion, writes The Hollywood Reporter.
On April 11, the couple will move on to New Delhi for a party at the residence of the British High Commissioner to mark the 90th birthday of William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen’s actual birthday is April 21, but celebrations of her majesty’s nonagintennial will be held throughout April, May and June.
The last stop of their trip to India will be a visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra.
