Reliance Brands Limited, the luxury retail subsidiary of Mumbai headquartered Reliance Industries, signed a deal to launch the iconic jewellery brand Tiffany & Co in India next April. At that time, the company will also introduce American lifestyle brand Tory Burch in India.
Reliance Brands markets luxury brands such as Armani, Hugo Boss, Ermenegildo Zegna, Brooks Brothers, Bally, among others, in India.
Tiffany & Co has been trying to enter the Indian market since a long time now. The New York-based jewellery brand had unsuccessfully tried a franchising arrangement with a local jeweler years ago. This will be the first attempt by Tory Burch to set up shop in India, though the company does ship its merchandise to India. The women’s lifestyle brand is owned and operated by its founder, designer Tory Burch.
