Headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut, Booking Holdings Inc., provider of online travel and related services, celebrated the official opening of its latest Center of Excellence in Bangalore, India.
The company’s brands include Booking.com, Priceline, Agoda, Rentalcars.com, KAYAK and OpenTable.
The new facility represents a projected $250 million investment over five years and 1,000 jobs to be created in Bangalore by the end of 2026. Currently the company employs 320 people at their office in Bangalore.
The Center will serve as a hub for specialized and highly skilled technology talent supporting the company’s growth and vision for the future of travel.
Initially, the work of the Center will focus on expanding capabilities in Fintech, Data Analytics and Engineering, Software Engineering and Mobile Development, with new capabilities in other areas including Trust and Safety, Cybersecurity, and Professional Services continuing to scale up in the coming year.
Booking Holdings CEO Glenn Fogel said, “One of the areas of focus is generative AI where Booking Holdings will work with large language model players to explore ways to incorporate these technologies to make travel seamless for its customers.”
