Amneal Pharmaceuticals, is gearing up for new launches and is on a hiring spree. The company says it is also open for possible acquisitions to boost its India portfolio.
The drug maker has plans to bring differentiated products based on novel drug delivery systems, biosimilars and specialty drugs from its portfolio.

The $2 billion company, promoted by entrepreneur brothers Chirag Patel and Chintu Patel, has begun commercial operations in India since August with the launch of a critical care division with 120 people, and 30 products. The products include critical cardiac, ICU anti-infectives and anesthesia. Amneal launched the single port closed intravenous bag in India that reduced potential microbial contamination.
Amneal Pharmaceuticals has a manufacturing and R&D footprint in India since 2008 with a focus on exports of key molecules and products through its India facilities across Ahmedabad, Dahej, Hyderabad, and Vizag.
