In a significant market development, Nestlé India and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories established a joint venture focused on bringing innovative nutraceutical brands to consumers in India and other agreed territories. The strategic partnership aims to combine Nestlé Health Science’s global range of nutritional health solutions with Dr. Reddy’s strong commercial capabilities in the Indian market.

The joint venture will concentrate on expanding nutraceutical portfolios across metabolic health, hospital nutrition, general wellness, women’s health, and child nutrition. Headquartered in Hyderabad, India, the new company will leverage the unique strengths of both parent organizations to deliver comprehensive health solutions.
Both companies will contribute select brands to the joint venture. Nestlé Group will bring internationally recognized brands such as Nature’s Bounty, Osteo Bi-Flex, Ester-C, and various e\resource-branded nutritional products covering diabetes, protein, renal, and dialysis segments. Dr. Reddy’s will contribute brands such as Rebalanz, Celevida, Antoxid, Kidrich-D3, and Becozinc from its nutrition and over-the-counter portfolio.

Suresh Narayanan, chairman and managing director of Nestlé India, highlighted the partnership’s significance in their ongoing mission to add value to consumers’ lives through science-backed nutritional solutions.
The joint venture is expected to become operational in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025, promising to bring a diverse and comprehensive range of nutraceutical solutions to the Indian market. This collaboration represents a strategic move to address growing consumer demand for specialized nutritional and health supplements.
