Max Factor, the cosmetics line from Coty Inc., has entered the Indian market through a partnership with New Delhi-based specialty beauty retailer House of Beauty.
The brand will introduce its global bestsellers, including foundation, mascara, and lipsticks, to Indian consumers. Indian actress and producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas will serve as the brand’s global ambassador, adding a significant local appeal to the launch.
Kristina Strunz, managing director of Coty Southeast Asia and India, expressed excitement about this new venture, stating, “Max Factor is entering a new era of exciting growth in India. We are thrilled to bring our best-selling products to the Indian market, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas leading the charge as our global brand ambassador.” This statement underscores the brand’s commitment to expanding its presence in India and leveraging Chopra Jonas’s influence to reach a broader audience.
Max Factor’s products will be available on major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Myntra, Boddess, and Tata Cliq. Additionally, they will be sold at SSBeauty stores, the beauty retail arm of the department store chain Shoppers Stop. The brand aims to be present at all key beauty retailers across India by 2025, ensuring widespread availability and accessibility for consumers.
House of Beauty, which manages several international brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kylie Cosmetics, EcoTools, Juice Beauty, and Neal’s Yard Remedies, will oversee Max Factor’s entry into the Indian market. Sanjali Giri, Chief Business Officer of House of Beauty, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to welcome Max Factor to the House of Beauty family of brands. We are committed to making the brand highly discoverable and accessible, reaching a wider audience of discerning makeup lovers across the country.”
Max Factor has a rich history, having been founded in 1909 by Polish-American businessman Maksymilian Faktorowicz. The brand was acquired by Procter & Gamble in 1991 and later by Coty in 2015. Coty, founded in Paris in 1904, is one of the world’s largest beauty companies, with a portfolio that includes over 40 brands across fragrance, color cosmetics, skin, and body care. Coty’s presence spans more than 125 countries and territories, making it a global powerhouse in the beauty industry.
