Mary Kay Cosmetics of Dallas, Texas announced plans of expansion for its India operations with a special focus on Maharashtra and Goa in Western India.
K. K. Chua, president, Asia Operations said that it includes new warehousing facilities in Maharashtra which will facilitate availability of products. Plans are also afoot to set up a manufacturing plant in Gurgaon near Delhi since sales in India are “growing at about 30-40 percent annually.” The company has launched body soaps and three-in-one cleansers that are not sold in the U.S. or in western markets.
The company has invested $20 million in India since 2007 and has announced an additional investment of $10 million in the coming years.
