Speaking at a U.S.-India Business Council seminar on April 18, the first day of the defense exhibition DefExpo-18 at Chennai, U.S. envoy to India Kenneth Juster said that the U.S. will transfer critical defense technology to India in May — a technology that will be exclusive, and one that the U.S. hasn’t shared with any other country. Juster added that the U.S. will also conduct a tri-services exercise with the country’s armed forces as part of a “2+2” meeting that will take place in May.

Juster and Major General Bryan Suntheimer, Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Army Pacific led a delegation to the event. The delegation included active duty military officers, government officials, and industry executives – demonstrating the depth and breadth of the commitment of the United States to the U.S.-India Major Defense Partner relationship.
The Ambassador inaugurated the U.S.A. Partnership Pavilion at the expo, where seventeen U.S. companies including Lockheed Martin and Boeing participated.
