India’s Adani Enterprises and Israeli Elbit Systems formed a joint venture, Adani-Elbit Advanced Systems India Limited (AEASIL), on November 7, 2016 to work together in the field of unmanned aircraft systems in India. The Adani group will own 51 percent stake in the JV, while the Israeli company will hold 49 percent.
AEASIL will be channeled through Adani Aero Defense a subsidiary of the parent group, which will not only manufacture the UAVs, popularly known as drones, but also provide related maintenance, repair and overhaul services reports IHS Jane’s.
