Bangalore-based digital healthcare platform Medibuddy, backed by San Francisco headquartered Bessemer Venture Partners, acquired vHealth by Aetna, the Indian subsidiary of Hartford, Connecticut-based Aetna Inc., for an undisclosed amount.
Operated by Indian Health Organization Pvt. Ltd, vHealth is a primary healthcare service provider catering to business-to-business clients in the banking, financial services and insurance sectors. The company offers subscription-based primary healthcare services such as telehealth consultations, outpatient networks, pharmacy, diagnostics and dental, among others
Satish Kannan, co-founder and chief executive at MediBuddy, said, “The revenue of vHealth will contribute to 30% of MediBuddy’s revenue.”
vHealth will be known as MediBuddy vHealth over the next six months, and its management personnel and all its180 employees will be absorbed by MediBuddy.
