Headquartered in Mumbai, Indian company Larsen & Toubro secured a major order for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) equipment for a project in the USA. Worth up to $288 million, this is one of the largest LNG project orders the company has received.
In recent years the United States has become the largest producer of oil and gas in the world and a major provider of LNG to the the global market. Larsen & Toubro has two huge heavy machinery factories on the coast of Gujarat in western India in a town called Hazira. I have visited this site and it is comparable to any in the world.
