India’s largest Dairy Product Maker Aims to Increase Revenue by 21% in 2015

The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which markets milk and dairy products under the Amul brand, said its revenue  was likely to increase by 21 percent this fiscal year at about $3.5 billion due to higher growth in  unit sales at current prices

The company is expanding its operations to increase milk processing capacity to 84,535 gallons per day from the current daily production of 60,759 gallons, its managing director R. S. Sodhi said. New plants are being set up in the states of Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, he added.

India is the world’s largest milk producer with an output of 132 million tons.
