Gandhinagar, Gujarat-based Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited signed a definitive agreement to acquire 85% stake in Sweden’s Linjemontage i Grastorp AB for an enterprise value of $24 million. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020.
Founded in 1993, the Linjemontage i Grastorp AB specializes in power supply solutions and services for electricity networks within the voltage range of 0.4 – 400 kv. The company operates in three main business areas: substation, transmission, and local networks and electricity network services.
Commenting on the acquisition, Sanjay Dalmia, executive director, Kalpataru Power, said that this strategic acquisition will provide “greater access to technology and engineering construction and procurement capability to take turnkey projects in Nordic countries and Europe.”
