According to India’s Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA) the Indian Appliances and Consumer Electronics (ACE) market, that is currently estimated at 975 million, is expected to double in the next three years.
Eric Braganza, president of CEAMA, said India has become one of the fastest growing ACE markets in the world and is also emerging as an alternative manufacturing destination to China and other South East Asian countries. “Now several global OEMs are setting up their base in India,” noted Braganza.

He added that foreign direct investment in the ACE industry has also almost doubled to $481 million by June 2022 as against $198 million in 2021. The penetration of the ACE industry is still low in several categories in comparison to other global markets and India has a lot of headroom for growth, Braganza said.
