India's Crystal Crop Buys Pesticide Brands from FMC Corp

New Delhi-based Crystal Crop Protection Limited acquired four insecticide and herbicide brands from Philadelphia PA-based chemical company FMC Corporation. Furadan, Splendour, Metcil and Affinity Force will now become part of Crystal Crop’s portfolio.

We are open to more such inorganic growth opportunities,” said Ankur Aggarwal, managing director at Crystal Crop. The company made some other acquisitions recently: in April, it acquired three seed brands from Swiss agribusiness Syngenta AG. In January, it purchased a chemicals plant from Cytec India Specialty Chemicals and Materials.

Crystal Crop makes and sells agrochemicals, seeds, and farm equipment. It has five manufacturing units – two each in the states of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, and one in Gujarat.
