A joint study by industry body Assocham and Mumbai-based research agency Majestic Market Research Support Services, India, says India’s cosmetics and grooming industry market size is expected to rise to $35 billion by 2035, with the consumption of cosmetics among teenagers increasing rapidly.
Additionally, the herbal cosmetic industry is expected to grow at 12 percent in India, since Indian consumers tend to purchase natural and herbal cosmetic products from brands such as Forest Essentials, Biotique, Himalaya Herbals, Blossom Kochhar, VLCC, Dabur, Lotus, Jovees, Patanjali and Just Herbs, among others.

62 percent young consumers surveyed in big cities preferred to buy beauty and grooming products online, while 45 percent tend to buy cosmetics and apparels from brick and mortar stores, reports the Economic Times.
“The Indian men’s grooming market is witnessing a growth of more than 42 percent in the last five years. The growth is faster than the growth rate of the total personal care and beauty industry in India,” an Assocham spokesperson said.
