Hughes India, majority owned subsidiary of Germantown, MD headquartered Hughes Network Systems, LLC, entered into a Teaming Agreement with state-owned Bharat Electronics Limited for the design, development, supply, installation, integration, and commissioning of Satellite Communication solutions for helicopters.
This Agreement will enable India’s Ministry of Defense’s strategic users to get helicopter-based Satellite Communication links for real-time and assured communications using the Indian Space Research Organization‘s Ku band satellites. Bharat Electronics Limited and Hughes India will use their respective technologies and capabilities in developing these integrated and sophisticated helicopter solutions.
