New Delhi-headquartered Indian Gas Exchange (IGX), a digital trading platform for imported natural gas, and Gurugram-based ACME Group that offers solutions for green hydrogen, ammonia, solar power and sustainable food using renewable energy, signed an agreement to develop India’s green hydrogen and ammonia market.
The MOU was signed during India Energy Week by IGX Managing Director and ACME Chairman.
Their goal of the partnership is to create a nationwide physical trading market for green molecules, starting with regional hubs near production sites and expanding countrywide.
The partnership covers the full value chain – production, logistics, and supply to industrial customers. By facilitating adoption of green hydrogen and ammonia across applications, they aim to reduce emissions and support India’s decarbonization efforts.
Both emphasized their commitment to spurring economic growth, energy security, and sustainability. By leveraging their experience developing natural gas solutions, they seek to build the framework to support India’s emerging green hydrogen and ammonia sector.
Their complementary capabilities position them in their aim to establishing a nationwide market for green hydrogen and ammonia production and trade.
