India is a growing market for imported consumer-oriented food products. India’s imports of consumer-oriented products from all origins in calendar year 2017 were nearly $5 billion. Imported tree nuts, spices, processed and fresh fruits, and chocolate/cocoa products accounted for over 85 percent of all imported consumer-oriented items, and the U.S. was the leading supplier of these foods with nearly an 18 percent market share.
Food and Hotel India 2018 will take place from September 5 to 7, at the Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai. This is UBM Allworld’s inaugural show in India catering to the food and hospitality industry. The show is supported by the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists of India, Indian Federation of Culinary Associations, The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India, Poona Hoteliers and Association, and the Hospitality Purchasing Managers Forum.
