NITI Aayog, India’s policy think tank, in partnership with various ministries and industry partners, is organizing MOVE: Global Mobility Summit in New Delhi on September 7 and 8. This summit aims to drive India’s goals toward electrification of vehicles, renewable energy integration, and job growth.
1,200 participants from across the world including government and industry leaders, research organizations, and academia, will take part. The Summit seeks to integrate automobile manufacturing, IT, telecommunications, and electronics with global supply chains.
NITI Aayog CEO, Amitabh Kant said, “Rapidly evolving technologies and business models are transforming the mobility sector. New pathways are emerging to provide clean, cost-effective mobility services that create new jobs, reduce dependence on oil imports and achieve efficient land usage in cities. India has a leapfrog opportunity.”
The summit will have three designated components – a conclave, expo and featured events focused on asset utilization and services, comprehensive electrification, alternative energy, reinventing public transport, logistics and goods transport and data analytics and mobility.
