ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organization, will launch nine micro satellites for the United States in 2015-16, according to a news report in NDTV. India’s space agency will launch these satellites using its polar satellite launch vehicle.
“U.S. will be the 20th country to sign up for a commercial launch by India,” said ISRO’s Chairman A. S. Kiran Kumar. So far, 45 satellites belonging to international customers from 19 countries have been launched cost effectively and successfully by ISRO’s satellite launch vehicles.
