Direct selling major Amway will complete 25 years of operations in India in the next two years, and believes it can scale up its business in the country by ten times its current potential.
Global CEO Milind Pant said, “We are very excited about the potential of India. It is one of our top three markets, for growth, and for investment. We believe that the potential of India is huge.”
Pant’s bullishness on India, is due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has accelerated two trends: 1) women and youth, especially in smaller towns, looking for micro entrepreneurship across the country, and 2) the increased focus on holistic wellness, both of which augur well for Amway.

As part of its social development endeavors, Amway India strengthened its Project Nari Shakti (women power) in the city of Kolkata. This project focuses on encouraging, educating, and empowering underprivileged women to pursue their goals. In the region, the initiative is aimed at driving entrepreneurship among these women by imparting required skillsets and providing them sustainable livelihood options.
