With an investment of over $400 million in the southern state of Karnataka, Swedish home furnishing brand IKEA inaugurated its fourth India branch in Bangalore. Spread over 12.2 acres, the 460,000 sq. ft facility expects five million visitors this year.
The store in Bangalore was launched after a year of providing online services in the city. Susanne Pulverer, CEO, IKEA India, said that IKEA is growing in India which continues to be a strong market.

Close to 48 per cent of total employees are women who have taken up job roles traditionally reserved for men, such as forklift driving, power stacking, assembly and installation services.
