The German color-cosmetic company BeYu will partner with Mumbai, India-based Kaunis Marketing Services for a re-entry to India this April. Short for ‘Be Yourself,’ BeYu sells 500 cosmetic aids in 40 countries which will now be available in India across 150 outlets. The company plans to launch a special set of 230 make-up items to suit skin tones in India.
“I believe this is the right time to re-launch BeYu in India as the disposable incomes of the growing middle- class is much higher than it was eight years ago. We have partnered with Kaunis to build our India footprint and will be available in 1,000 stores in three years,” Sascha Reinhard, managing partner, BeYu, told BusinessLine.

Reinhard stated that a marketing budget of $107,880 had been earmarked for the launch, after which 30-40 percent of the annual turnover will be spent on marketing the brand. The $550 million Indian color-cosmetics market is growing at a CAGR of 16 percent.
