San Francisco, CA-based Gap Inc., along with its India joint venture partner Arvind Lifestyle Brands, rolled out a range of products customized according to the fit, color, and design preferences that appeal to Indian consumers.
Parag Dani, business head for Gap at Arvind Lifestyle Brands India, explained that the range was created after recording customer feedback in India and that the prices have not been changed for the range.
Gap is also trying out small format stores that focus only on children’s wear or adults’ wear as opposed to the usual store format where both are mixed. “We have set up two stores for adults’ wear, one each in Bangalore and Kolkata. The Gap kids exclusive store will come up this year,” said Dani.
