Boston-headquartered Freudenberg Medical launched a new product, HelixFlex™, at the 15th edition of the CPhI and PMEC exhibition organized by Informa Market in India, from 29th November to 1st December 2022.
Georg Graf, head of Freudenberg Regional Corporate Center India, told Financial Express that the product was a high-purity thermoplastic elastomer TPE tubing designed for use in biopharmaceutical fluid transfer applications.
He said, TPE tubing is ideal for pharmaceutical bioprocessing applications because it can be welded to existing tubing lines, and heat-sealed to allow for easy, fast, and safe fluid transport in biopharma processes. It also offers various sterilization options including autoclave, gamma irradiation, x-ray, and e-beam. It is more environmentally friendly than silicone and can be recycled.
