Ahead of a Global Investors Summit to be held in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh from February 10 to 12, 2023, the state’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sent teams to cities in Germany, UK and Canada to invite overseas investors to the Summit.
The delegation held a road show in Toronto and met members of the Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce. They interacted with the audience and assured investors of safe investments in Uttar Pradesh. Invest UP and the Canada India Foundation will collaborate to promote the Summit. Canada India Foundation will act as the brand ambassador of Uttar Pradesh in Canada.
The delegation from India also met representatives of companies such as My Health Centre, a diagnostic health facility, OMERS, one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plan, Mountain Equipment Company, Ontario Teachers Pension Plan among others at a dinner hosted by the Indian Consulate in Toronto, and invited them to the Summit.
During a one-on-one business meeting, Suresh Madan the CEO of My Health Centre, inked an MoU worth $266 million with the delegation from Uttar Pradesh for setting up a multi-specialty hospital, a medical college and a medical device manufacturing unit in Kanpur a city in Uttar Pradesh.
