Boeing, India's HAL, & Mahindra Propose Manufacturing Hornets in India

Boeing India signed an agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL), and Mahindra Defense Systems to manufacture the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter aircraft in India for India’s armed forces. The F/A- 18 Super Hornet will fulfill India’s need for a carrier- and land- based multi-role fighter.

This partnership will build a new production facility that will be utilized for other programs such as the manufacture of India’s Advance Medium Combat Aircraft.
