Amway Launches Products with India's Traditional Herbs

With the launch of its Nutrilite Traditional Herbs Range, Amway India entered the Ayurvedic products space in the country. Ajay Khanna, category head – Nutrition and Wellness, Amway India, said the team worked on the product for close to a decade. The company partnered with local farmers to identify herbs and understand how to sustain their production since the herbs used are seasonal.

Anshu Budhraja, CEO, Amway India, said that the company expects a revenue of over $8 million from the traditional herbs range this year. The major growth drivers will be consumer preference for herbal products and lifestyle choices, he added.

Amway Corporation’s global president Doug DeVos expects that the India operations will become half a billion dollar business in three to five years. “India has a reasonable expectation to break into the top five markets,” he added.
